Healthy men aged 18-45 can donate sperm. Donors should have no significant medical or genetic conditions, and they must undergo thorough health screenings, including medical history, physical exams, and tests for infectious diseases and genetic disorders. They should also have good sperm quality and a healthy lifestyle. Confidentiality and legal consent are essential for all sperm donations.
Payment for sperm donation
It is against the law for us to pay sperm donors for their donation. However, we are able to offer you compensation towards expenses for each visit to our sperm donation clinic, which is paid at the end of the process.
Anonymity for sperm donors
When donating sperm to the First Choise Donor your details will never be made available to the recipients. However, once they turn 18, any child born as a result of you donating sperm would have the potential to contact you via the HFEA.
Attending our sperm donation clinic
Providing you are suitable, you will be asked to attend our sperm donation clinic once a week for between five and ten weeks to produce sperm samples. This means you will be donating sperm a total up to 15 times.
There are many reasons why a woman may need sperm donation to start a family; it may be a single woman who wants a family on her own, a heterosexual couple who suffer from male infertility, or a lesbian couple who are unable to have children together.
“Thanks to one of their amazing sperm donors, myself and my partner were able to start the family we have always dreamt of having. We now have an extremely happy and healthy baby girl. She is absolutely gorgeous and has totally changed our world.”

Applying to become a sperm donor is the first step of your journey. A member of our sperm donation team will then get in touch to provide more information and go through the next steps with you. Please be aware that sperm donation will take place in central London. Once you have applied you will still have plenty of time to ask questions and change your mind should you wish.
